Dr. Lutz was born in Elizabeth, NJ and is a native of Colonia, NJ.  He earned his bachelor’s degree at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine.  He completed his surgical internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

He is board certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He is also an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology.  He is on the active staff of The Surgical Institute of Reading, Saint Joseph Medical Center and the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.  Dr. Lutz and his wife have two children.  He joined this practice in 1989.
