Dr. Matthew Bonsall was born in Reading and raised in Berks County. He earned both his Bachelors of Science degree and Doctoral degree from Bloomsburg University. He became Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Bonsall is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, as well as an active member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is the supervisor of the audiology department and has been practicing since 2014.
His areas of special interest include advanced hearing aid technology, hearing aid counseling, assistive listening devices, pediatrics, and electrophysiological testing.
Dr. Bonsall and his wife have two children. They enjoy spending time outdoors with their two dogs, traveling, and the beach.
Dr. Appler received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from West Chester University in 1994. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Audiology from Penn State University in 1996. She received her clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry School in Audiology (now Salus University), and is licensed in Pennsylvania. She is an Active Member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology and is a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Appler holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She was born and raised in the area and has been practicing Audiology with ENT Head & Neck Specialists, PC since 1996.
Dr. Appler’s areas of interest include advanced hearing aid technology, hearing aid counseling and assistive listening devices.
Rosemarie earned her baccalaureate degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She then completed her Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University. Rosemarie is certified by the American Academy of Family Nurse Practitioners. She has been inducted in the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
Rosemarie has been in the nursing/medical field since 1980 and has practiced as an RN in all areas of the nursing profession. She specifically has been practicing in the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology for eight years; prior to that she has been in the Family Practice setting. At the end of this practice, that she joined our practice in 2007.
In conjunction to working as a Nurse Practitioner, Rosemarie has also been an Adjunct professor for Purdue University’s Master of Nursing program specifically for Nurse Practitioners. She also was a professor for Vincennes University/Ivy Tech School of Nursing for Baccalaureate and Associate degree nursing students.
Rosemarie is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Coalition of Nurse Practitioners of Pennsylvania, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and the Society of Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Nurses.
She resides in Zionsville, PA with her husband and five children.
Dr. Driben was raised in Cherry Hill, NJ and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rutgers College and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland. He subsequently served as a staff otolaryngologist at the Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, NC. He earned the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE).
He is board certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology. He is on the active staff of The Surgical Institute of Reading, Saint Joseph Medical Center and the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Driben and his wife have two children. He joined the practice in 1999.
